Sound in OTS

The evaluation questions that this post relates to are:

Who would be the audience for your media product? Your audience will be affected by the soundtrack you use.

How did you attract/address your audience?

Print out the Issuu document and add to your exam folder under Section A for TV Drama

Task: embed this link on your blog and summarise it.

Differentiate - Students to write a definition of Foley and embed a film and short summary on the film regarding foley.
OCR examiner’s report from last year stated “Candidates need to be encouraged to create their own sound-scape rather than sourcing an existing well known track (not copyright free), which is not permitted for this specification. They also need to consider a variety of soundtracks rather than simply just adding music e.g Foley, voice over, SFX. This will help create a more three dimensional feel to their OTS.”

Please note - we can hire out the music editing facilities to add our own foley. See me if you want to organise this. Two groups did it last year and it gained them extra marks and comments from the moderator.
