Task: Traditionally how long are
OTS credits? How long have yours got to be?
What is the purpose of the
credits? Read other tasks below in purple.
OCR Examiner said when commenting on the OTS submissions entered last year - “Titles were still often rather limited in terms of understanding of institutional conventions, and often featured non existent job roles and not enough credits.”
The average number of credits per opening title sequence is around 24, starting with the main characters first and the director last. Titles must be consistent and around the same time per credit, for example the main actor cannot be 10 seconds whereas the director being 2 seconds. How long are each credit conventionally?
Don't forget to add a variety of names even if made up (although don't add daft names) to make sure you meet the convention of up to 24 credits. Add your own names for the roles you did.
Task: Jennifer Aniston has a contract where her name only must be displayed on a card, this is because she wants to show the significance of her role. Create a screen shot of this on your post to show this.
Timelines of Credits
Task: Look at the example of a time line below and create one for a thriller film you most admire and that may well influence your own piece.
