Audience Positioning

 
The evaluation question that relate to this post are:


1. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions   of real media products?
2. How does your media product represent particular social groups?
4. Who would be the audience for your media product?
5. How did you attract/address your audience?
Task: Students in class research the different shots used in film to position the audience as though in the film. These shots include POV shot, Bird's Eye, Shot reverse shot.


New Media Terminology to Use in Blog and Essays:


Audience Engagement 
This describes how an audience interacts with a media text. Different people react in different ways to the same text.

Audience Expectations 

These are the ideas the audience have in advance of seeing a media text. This particularly applies to genre pieces. Don't forget producers continually play with or shatter audiences expectations.
